My Valentine is over the sea
And while my mind knows where she might be
The heart is in flee
Searching for traces unseen
But that what I miss is not some hopeless desire
The feeling runs through my life like a wire
When it comes over me it burns like a fire
Spreading and lighting her moments that I admire
It's in the simple moment of brushing my teeth
The work assignment that has to be done in speed
Wild ideas that could use her fresh read
Or the short message or saying that gives me relief
Then I know she has me in her care
And those acts of her are not rare
Yet when I miss her then that gives my heart a flare
Spurring my mind in day dreams or a tiny scare
Riled up, I want to hear her constant imagination
Her passion that makes her see across any boundary or nation
Not without guidance but in a firm station
Teasing me at any moment of temptation
It's that which I love
Her freedom like a dove
Her laugh
Her trust and compassion, unbridled and rough
